Language Lab
Classroom teaching methods are changing from chalk and talk systems to interactive methods. Multimedia technology is being used extensively by educational institutes to increase the effectiveness of the learning experience.
The digital language lab offered by Edutech not only makes learning more exciting for students, but also makes teaching in a language lab much easier and more rewarding for teachers.
The digital language lab system links all computers in a computer-equipped lab and provides teachers with a simple touch screen-based desktop control panel from which they are able to:
- Present new concepts using the Internet, computer programs, and documents, multimedia materials (tapes & CDs), or live presentations
- Employ authentic multimedia materials in the target language
- Assign students to pairs or conferences to practice speaking and listening skills
- Assign, and remotely launch on student computers, media activities requiring students to record written and/or spoken recorded responses
- Run testing exercises
The computer-based interactive multimedia capabilities of Edutech’s language lab captivate today’s language students, who are growing up in a world where the Internet, video games, instant messaging and e-mail are all part of their daily lives.
