Learning 2.0
Web 2.0 technologies like blogs, wikis, and social networking platforms have revolutionized the creation and dissemination of information. At Edutech, we’re excited at the prospect of bringing this incredible control over content to the individual learner, as we believe this increases learner interest, investment, and accountability.
Our Learning 2.0 philosophy uses the collaborative opportunities offered by Web 2.0 technologies, Serious Games, Immersive Learning Simulations, Second Life, social learning, and mobile learning to offer cutting-edge learning on multiple devices, as also to encourage learner community-building through group participation, and co-creation.
Immersive Learning Simulations - Our portfolio includes the setting up of several state-of-the-art virtual collaboration and simulation training centers as part of corporate and academic initiatives. We have experience in building analytical online tools that help people make better decisions. Our simulation development team can help you with model and simulator building, competitive strategy games, and training simulations with full interactivity, multiple paths, training layer, trainee evaluation, multi-language support and easy maintenance.
Serious games - like our simulations, our “serious games” are founded on principles of educational psychology and educational technology theory. As in all of our Learning 2.0 endeavors, we use technology employed by the commercial digital game industry to address specific learning needs. We design serious games for a plethora of academic and corporate subjects, using high-end multimedia and embodied experiences to deeply engage learners in the course content.
Social Learning - we include in our learning solutions recommendations for integrating social networking activities such as instant messaging/chat, blogging, discussion groups, file sharing etc. that emphasize the importance of collaboration in learner success. Social learning cultivates a work culture of openness and sharing that drives performance enhancement.
Second Life -Another buzzword in the collaborative learning space is Second Life, a virtual online world entirely created by users. Edutech works with universities and corporations to create Second Life “campuses” with online classes, instructors, and learners, all of which makes learning a truly immersive and fun experience!
Mobile Learning - Also known as mlearning, learning with portable technologies or mobile devices ensures that learning can happen anytime, anywhere. Another one of our collaborative learning solutions, we have dedicated content development and authoring teams to design mlearning that you can use on the move.
