The challenge
Faculty spend hours building course materials that colleagues in other departments, or at other institutions, have already created. Good content stays locked inside individual courses, and keeping shared materials up to date is hard.
The solution
Commons is a digital library of educational content inside Canvas LMS. Educators search for resources by keyword, author, institution or title, import them into a Canvas course, and then use and customise them like their own.
Sharing works the other way too. Share resources you create in Canvas with other Canvas users, with colleagues and groups at your institution, or keep them just for yourself. When you change a resource you have shared, share it again and the version in Commons is updated.
