Library Solutions
Library makerspaces
Turn your library into a place where students build new skills.
A fully equipped library makerspace with 3D printers, digital cutters, electronics kits and video production tools, plus the training to run it from day one.

The challenge
Libraries are no longer only places to find information. Students expect spaces where they can build, test and present ideas, and university leaders want the library to play a visible part in innovation on campus.
The solution
When students get to build things with their own hands, what they learn in class starts to make sense. A makerspace gives them room to try an idea, see it fail, fix it and try again, which builds the confidence and problem-solving skills employers look for. It also brings students from different programmes together, so an engineering student, a design student and a business student can end up working on the same project.
Students can print their designs on 3D printers and learn the basics of electronics and sensors with tinkering kits. A shelf of DIY books and magazines gives them fresh ideas and keeps the library at the heart of the space.
For the university, the makerspace gives students a new reason to walk into the library and turns it into a place that builds skills, not just a place to study. It shows prospective students and their parents that you care about practical learning that prepares them for work, and gives your faculty a space to run workshops, projects and competitions across different subjects.
With more than 350 projects implemented, we help you set up your library makerspace, train your team and plan activities so your students keep learning new skills. We delivered this model for Abu Dhabi University.
